The Sharp MX-4070V is part of the Sharp Advanced Series. The crux of the series is usability and help with multitasking. It prints and copies 40 pages per minute in both black-and-white and color. You can choose from six paper sources. The input trays’ capacity ranges from 550 to 2,100 sheets, with a 3,000-sheet cassette capacity. Duplexing comes standard, as with most modern machines, and it can scan up to 200 images per minute.
Its 10.1-inch touchscreen has a graphical interface, simply designed and meant to serve users of all technical abilities. The printer also has a retractable keyboard. A walk-up sensor automatically starts up the machine, triggering a 10-second warmup. For the most basic of functions, you can choose Easy Mode, which streamlines the task with large, clear buttons. You can connect it to your cloud services of choice, such as Box, Google or SharePoint, allowing you to print and scan just by grabbing the files you need from the cloud.
The Sharp MX-4070V offers many features to simplify document management. For example, you can convert scanned documents into text-searchable PDFs. The machine will re-staple your documents for you after you’ve scanned them. You can also choose from an array of professional finishes, such as saddle stitching and stacks. You can even save energy thanks to the walk-up sensor.
Cost disadvantage
The Sharp MX-4070V may be too pricey for many small businesses to manage, though leasing can put this in a more affordable range (not to mention you could count the expenditure as an operational expense versus a capital expense).
Another drawback is that while the number of choices, flexibility, and control is all good things, many small to medium-sized businesses may not need these features.
